PDC Healthcare to Display its Line of Safe-D-Covers™ for Detector and Cassette Protection at the 2014 APIC Conference
Valencia, CA (May 21, 2014) – PDC Healthcare, the global leader of innovative identification solutions, will exhibit its new expanded line of Safe-D-Covers™ for cassettes and detectors at the 2014 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Conference, in booth #1550, from June 7 to 9, in Anaheim, CA. APIC is the leading organization for infection preventionists with members including nurses, physicians and public health professionals.
PDC Healthcare’s Safe-D-Covers™ help organizations protect their X-ray equipment by providing a disposable, protective barrier between the detector or cassette and the patient. Safe-D-Covers™, with a ziplock closure, virtually eliminate the chance of fluids coming in contact with a detector or cassette. Unlike pillowcases or trash bags, tear-resistant Safe-D-Covers™ are specifically manufactured to securely fit X-ray equipment, saving caregivers’ time and hassle from dealing with extra material to tuck or push under patients. The covers are disposable and do not require laundering, which has been identified as one of the six areas of concerns, according to a study by the CDC.
